Łódź:
a multicultural, colourful and academic city located in the very heart of Poland and Europe. It is the third Polish city when it comes to the number of its inhabitants, and the fourth in terms of the area. The 19th century climate of the “Promised Land” ("Ziemia obiecana" - as Łódź is referred to in Poland) is back to booming as the result of the revitalisation and creative approach to the city's unique architecture.
Culture and students’ life
Vibrant Piotrkowska Street, „Manufaktura” – the biggest shopping centre in Poland, “Monopolis” – these are just some of the places worth visiting. Łódź attracts people by good energy and numerous events – such as Lodz Design Festival, Comics & Games Festival, Light Move Festival. The city is a place hosting the only Polish Museum of Cinematography, related to the history of the Lodz Film School.
In Łódż, there are plenty of places for relax and recreation. It is the only place in Poland that has been awarded in the ranking „Best Of The World 2022” by National Geographic.
Relax in the midst of nature
The city was also awarded in the category of the “Balanced development”. More than 30% of the area of Łódź are green areas – including Las Łagiewnicki which is one of the largest European forest complexes located within the city.
