What are ‘cookies’?
Cookies‘ shall mean IT data, in particular text files, stored on the users’ terminal equipment, intended for the use of websites. These cookies allow the website to recognise the user's device and display the website adapted to the user's individual preferences accordingly. ‘Cookies’ usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
What do we use ‘cookies’ for?
We use ‘cookies’ for:
- adapting the content of the Website to the User's preferences and optimising the use of the Website; in particular, these files allow the Website User's device to be recognised and the Website to be properly displayed, adjusted to his/her individual needs
- creating statistics which help to understand how users of the Website use websites, which enables improving their structure and content
- maintaining a session of a User of the Website (after logging in), thanks to which a User does not have to re-enter his/her login and password on each subpage of the Website.
What kind of ‘cookies’ do we use?

They collect information about how visitors use our site, the type of site from which users were redirected, and the number of visits and the length of time users visited the site. For this purpose, we use the Google Analytics solution.
Cookies from third-party companies on the Operator's websites:
- Google Analytics - web analytics cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, the type of website from which users were redirected, and the number of visits by users and the length of time they visited the website. This information does not record specific personal information about the user, but is used to compile statistics on the use of the website on an aggregate level.
- YouTube - the websites operated by the Operator contain videos and links to videos from YouTube. As a result, when browsing a page with embedded content from YouTube or provided under links, the user may encounter cookies from these websites. More information: youtube.co.uk
- Adobe Flash Player - Flash animations are used on the website. Flash Player uses local shared objects or Flash cookies to allow the user to use features such as auto-restore or saving user preferences. Do cookies contain personal data?
Personal data collected using cookies can only be collected for the purpose of performing certain functions for the user. Such data is encrypted in such a way that it cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons.
Deletion of cookies
By default, your web browsing software allows the placement of ‘cookies’ on your terminal device. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of ‘cookies’ in the settings of your web browser or to inform you each time they are sent to your device. What security measures do the Merito Group websites use?
The Operator's websites are equipped with security measures to protect the data under our control from loss, misuse or modification. We undertake to protect any information disclosed to us by clients in accordance with security and confidentiality standards.
The Website Operator provides Users with the option to opt-out of receiving advertising material and newsletters ordered. The Operator shall provide Users with the option to delete information about themselves from databases and allow them to stop receiving information sent by e-mail.
