Supporting scientific activities leading to the preparation of a future research project planned for submission in NCN or other national and international competitions – this is the goal of the Miniatura 5 competition, announced on 4 May 2021 and implemented by the National Science Centre.

On 16 August 2021, the NCN discipline coordinators published the ranking lists of individual activities qualified for funding.

Among the 58 winners of the competition, there were 2 project applications submitted by the WSB University in Poznań and the WSB University in Toruń:

1) dr Agata Basińska-Zych (physical culture science discipline), application entitled “The role of organizational culture as a factor determining the effectiveness of health promotion in knowledge-based enterprises”, PLN 44,000.00,

2) dr Joanna Haffer (management and quality sciences discipline), application entitled “Behaviours that strengthen the team: Polish adaptation and validation of a research tool”, PLN 49,280.00.

 

This is the first ranking list announced by the National Science Centre as part of the Miniatura 5 competition. The call for applications continues until 30 September 2021.

 

In the 5th edition of the competition, funding can be obtained in the amount of PLN 5,000 to 50,000 for a preliminary or pilot study lasting up to 12 months, a query, a research internship, a research trip or a consultation trip. Researchers who obtained their doctoral degree not earlier than on 1 January 2009, who have not managed or directed the implementation of research projects financed from the funds of the National Science Centre and have at least one published work or at least one artistic or artistic-scientific work may apply for funding.

 

The total budget of the Miniatura 5 competition is PLN 22 million. These funds are allocated proportionally throughout the call, and the application may be qualified for financing only if it is included in the pool of funds allocated for a given month.
