Key organisational information for new students
Welcome to WSB Merito University in Warsaw!
Thank you for the trust you placed in us by enrolling at our univeristy. We will do our best to meet your expectations. Before the start of your classes, we encourage you to read the summary of the most important organisational information.
First payment
Each WSB Merito University student is assigned a personal bank account number to which their tuition fees should be paid.
You can find the account number, subsequent payment dates and your tuition amount on the Extranet in "My profile -> Payments and deposits".
Make two separate transfers:
- the first instalment of your tuition - to the account named "tuition fees",
- student ID fee - 22 PLN to the account named "other".
You can find the amount of your tuition in your agreement on the provision of educational services as well as on the Extranet once you get access to it.
If you have not collected your agreement yet, you can do it at the Admissions Office until the end of the admission process.
Graduates of WSB Merito University in Warsaw keep their student IDs and individual bank accounts from their previous studies and should continue to make their payments there.

Student ID cards
Student IDs for new students
Student IDs are issued at the Student's Office. To collect it, please bring with you any valid document containing a photo of you. If you want your card to be collected by another person (e.g. a colleague or a parent), they should have with them a written, personal authorization from you.
Extension of validity
As a rule, student IDs are valid until the date present on the hologram sticker. You can extend its validity at the Student's Office during its working hours, which can be found in the Contact tab.
Health insurance
Lack of insurance may result in the withdrawal of the issued temporary residence permit, which in turn means the need to leave Poland. Failure to leave Poland despite the withdrawal of a temporary residence permit leads to the foreigner's obligation to return to the country of origin, combined with a ban on re-entry for at least 6 months.
When concluding insurance with other insurance institutions, one should pay attention to whether the insurance terms and conditions also cover hospitalisation. With such insurance, you should also bear in mind that, as a student, you have to cover the costs of treatment and then the insurer reimburses you, in contrast to a contract directly with the National Health Fund, where the form of settlement is non-cash.
A student may be registered for health insurance provided that s/he:
- is at least 26 years old and is not subject to obligatory health insurance for any other reason,
- is under 26 years of age, and none of the family members (parents, grandparents, spouse) is subject to compulsory health insurance
The relevant form can be found in the Extranet - Application for health insurance. Please send a scan of the completed and signed application to the following address: dziekanat@wsb.warszawa.pl
Health insurance or the confirmation of the treatment costs' coverage by the insurer is required not only when entering and applying for a temporary residence permit, but also during the entire stay of the foreigner in Poland.
If you do not have the citizenship of an EU / EFTA Member State, or the right to legally reside in the territory of an EU / EFTA country other than the Republic of Poland, or you are not subject to compulsory health insurance in the territory of the Republic of Poland or in another EU / EFTA Member State (e.g. compulsory insurance for an employed person) , the right to report as a family member of the insured person, etc.), you can voluntarily insure yourself, e.g. in the National Health Fund (NFZ). You will need a certificate of student status, which you will receive from the Student's Office.
Certificate of student status
At the Student's Office, you can submit a request for a certificate confirming your student status. All you need to do is send an e-mail to the following address: dziekanat@warszawa.merito.pl
The title of the e-mail should include "Certificate", while in the content you should indicate the institution to which the certificate will be addressed, as well as your personal information (name, surname, student's register number).
