Liderzy dla Liderów
Liderzy dla Liderów (Leaders for Leaders) Mentorship Programme is an opportunity to benefit from mentoring and develop your leadership skills. It is a suitable way of self-improvement especially for people whose career goals are related to becoming a leader in an organisation.
The aim of the mentorship programme is to support the development of leadership skills of students and the participants of postgraduate studies through a mentoring relationship in which Mentors are experienced individuals holding leadership positions in well-known companies, institutions and NGOs.
Why is it worth it to become a Mentee?
Additionally, you will get:
- A certificate confirming your participation in the programme
- Meetings with mentors – in-person or on-line
- Access to educational videos on leadership
- Presentations and materials concerning leadership
- Selected participants will be invited to take part in an interview (article)
The first 8 people to qualify for the programme will get a book – "Harvard Business Review. Leader’s Handbook"!
The participation in the mentorship programme is free of charge.
Meetings will take place either online or in-person, depending on the preference of the Mentor and Mentee.
The number of mentor meetings ranges from 1 to 5 per mentoring pair during each edition.
Mentoring is a relationship between a person with significant credibility, usually higher in the social and/or professional hierarchy than their Mentee. A Mentee chooses a Mentor from whom they expect advice and guidance.
Full-time and part-time students of the first-cycle studies (from the second semester onwards) and second-cycle studies (from the second semester onwards) as well as students of postgraduate studies of WSB Merito University in Warsaw.
The word mentor comes from Greek mythology, and means a teacher, master. In the Liderzy dla Liderów Mentorship Programme, mentors are people holding leadership positions at the companies cooperating with the Career and Internship Office of WSB Merito University in Warsaw. MBA graduates and students may also join the programme.
Stages of the programme:
- Recruitment | Fill in the contact form. We will let you know how to join the programme. You may get invited to a short interview
- Decision | Check if you have been accepted. You will receive an official confirmation by e-mail
- Informational meeting | Take part in a group information meeting, which will take place via Microsoft Teams
- One-to-one meetings | Meet in-person or online (up to 5 meetings/ 1 Mentor)
- Evaluation | Share your feedback with the Organiser
- Reward | Get a certificate
Why is it worth it to become a mentor?
- Sharing: mentoring is a process that allows you to share your knowledge, experience and skills with more junior people and take delight in it.
- Building a brand: being a mentor may bring PR benefits for the Mentor and the Organisation that they work for.
- Developing soft skills: mentoring requires communication skills and is an opportunity to develop them.
- A different perspective: mentoring allows you to gain new perspectives and experiences.
